Re: Me 509 Trumpeter 1/48

Thanks Speedgraflex! The centrally located engine concept seems to have come up from various quarters nobody seems to have been impressed by the results. The P-39 was mostly flown by the Russians who did seem to complain too much... And now, let's get to work! The kit's sides walls have de...

Re: Me 509 Trumpeter 1/48

The 509 was an improved version of the 309, with a pressurized cockpit and a centered engine. In contrast to the 309 it didn't make it to prototype stage. Very nice project, Michel. I'm in! What he said! More here for those interested: http://www.luft46.com/mess/me509.html Sorry for omitting the hi...

Me 509 Trumpeter 1/48

My new build! https://i.imgur.com/evPLaT3.jpg Oh, I know what you will say: "Oh no! Not another 509!" That's usually what they say when they see a 509, right? Or is that for the 109? OK, a quick look inside the box: 3 sprues of gray plastic. https://i.imgur.com/SlYxIn8.jpg https:...

Re: Ba 349 Natter 1/48 DML

Thank you guys for the nice comments! Until now I've been using Brett Gooden's Project Natter as a reference book but I ran into a book in German in a local bookshop the other day, which I wasn't long in buying. Got it at a bargain price too! https://i.imgur.com/mKF9YDP.jpg Both books have a nice co...

JKim the ammo drum is painted with the Molotow Chrome paint pen.
Do you ‘paint’ with the pen or do you somehow get the ink out of the pen and use a brush or airbrush?

Nice work BTW! :shoutout:

Re: Ba 349 Natter 1/48 DML

Thanks people for all the nice comments! (insert beer smiley) (Strange that one is still missing, tssk) @mostrich: agree! The headrest was attached to the canopy which got ripped off in the slipstream and the pilot broke his neck. At least that's what the investigators concluded. As a remedying meas...
