Re: First completions of the year
Those look great! I've got an Accurate Miniatures P-51A on the bench that I have been grabbing in between other builds, not a terrible kit, just some finesse in some areas.

Re: Methyl Ethyl Keytone
Our local Home Depot carried it in quart cans, at least they did. I bought one awhile ago and since I dont use it all of the time, it rarely gets opened. I do like how it works tho. Like Mustang advised, ventilation AND a respirator are almost a necessity when working with this stuff. At a minimum, ...

Re: 1/35 Trumpeter M1133 MEV
Nice!! I built that same kit and I loved it. I'll have to check out that Value Gear. The one thing that I couldn't get was a backboard for it. It really needs to be on there. All the pics I've seen have at least one backboard on there. Mike, for your cargo nets on top, did you make those yourself? ...

Re: Tamiya F-16C Block 50
These Tamiya Vipers are just beautiful kits. This was a great and fun build. I've got a couple more in my stash and plan to do another in the Have Glass scheme as well as Thunderbird.Medicman71 wrote:Man that's an awesome looking Viper. I need to finish mine. The decals I ordered are going to get here today.

Re: Tamiya F-16C Block 50
That is a magnificent looking plane! Wow, I always wonder how you get such awesome finishes! Thanks, my preferred method is very light thin coats. I typically start with a mottled base. In this case I started with Mr. Surfacer 1200 grey primer, then used a few different "dirt/oil" shades ...

Re: 1/35 Trumpeter M1133 MEV
That looks great! But I gotta ask about the blue tarp…. not something I’ve ever come across on a US vehicle before… :hmm: I just wanted something visually different. Going with the "idea" they were out training, someone grabbed a blue tarp from their personal vehicle before heading out an...
