Re: Tamiya 1/35 Sherman M4A3
Thanks Gary - now I've got the concept in my head I'll make up another one that fills the gap slightly better and it'll be done. Then it's onto the gaps at the front as you say.

Re: Tamiya 1/35 Sherman M4A3
Answered my own question. After about five minutes work, I'd cut out a template in some scrap plasticard. https://i.postimg.cc/pLpN8Ncx/IMG-9547.jpg Not a bad fit, I might make one slightly larger just to fill in the gaps around the edges a bit more. https://i.postimg.cc/NjV3kNZX/IMG-9546.jpg If I c...

Re: Tamiya 1/35 Sherman M4A3
Yeah, unlike everyone else who made or makes Sherman’s in 1/35 or 1/32, Tamiya neglected to add the sponson bottoms on the original tooling hulls… but it is a quick easy fix using some sheet styrene. Carlos is right, Stuart. 👍 Here's how I did that job on the Bulldog ( and thanks for your co...

Can't wait to see your Sherman build.
Thanks Mike!

Re: Tamiya 1/35 Sherman M4A3
Thanks Gary - Lordy don't take any notes from me though, I've no idea what I'm doing. It won't be as good as your Bulldog, that much I do know.Gary Brantley wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 8:47 am Great project for you, Stuart and I'll follow along taking notes, as I want a Sherman too, someday!

Re: Tamiya 1/35 Sherman M4A3
Thanks Carlos - it does seem to be a nice kit, basic, but goes together well - kinda like the Panzer II I built years ago. You've probably built loads of them.
Thanks for the heads up on the #66 OD, I'll keep that for my Tamiya M48 then and I've ordered some #155. Much appreciated.
