Starting on the T-6 now, making masks for the canopy. I have a Lone Star cockpit set for the PT-20/22 interior and have ordered Mike's PT-22 conversion, Carlos.Stikpusher wrote:Looks good! Now you need a T-6 and the old Hawk/Testors PT-20 trainers.

You got the setup, TJ!
Between the dust and the cats my models have been behind glass for a long time. They were demanding hazardous duty pay!

Planet 1/48 Fairchild PT-19
This is a pretty good resin kit, built to give my Revell Stearman some company. The cockpit interior was added to with some ALPS printed decal faces courtesy of my computer system and its peripherals, and a store of images I keep adding to from the interweb. This, like many resin models has fewer pa...

Well done, John. But that thing about wings clapping, that's just a bad thought. Most any R/C flyer will know what I mean...

Fine Molds 1/48 A5M4 Claude
Jiro Horikoshi's first design that went into production. I did some research on the A5M4 whose markings I chose, and am quite sure but not positive that it was on the Zuiho, a light carrier in the 3rd carrier division during the battle of Midway, where it played only a peripheral role, and then was ...

I do not even aspire to work that detailed in 1/72. My hands sometimes shake at higher amplitude the that Zero's wing chord!

Re: Planet 1/48 Fairchild PT-19
Thanks, everyone. There were a few pinholes here and there but a little Perfect Plastic Putty fixed them right up. The Mr Surfacer sticks to the resin well, I've had no more problems with paint peeling. I had a delay waiting for paint, but Sprue Brothers to the rescue with some Hataka C156 Aggressor...

Re: Modelsvit 1/48 Bf 109 D-1.
Kurt Tank also designed the wonderful looking Fw 200 Condor. Still waiting for a civil variant in 1/48. :bored: Would it be possible to convert Trumpeter’s Fw 200 C-4 version? I've looked at doing the conversion in 1/72 and the hard part is the wing. I think it could be done by cutting sections out...
