Re: Update on my big brother

Wow, Steve, that's quite a bit for your family to process. I'm glad to see your brother is making some progress. Hopes and prayers that things continue to improve.

Re: 1/35 Tamiya Challenger 2 Desertized Version

Thanks all for the info about the chipping. I too am not a huge fan of heavily chipped armor, I was thinking like a couple of rub marks and maybe some wear around the hatches. Most of the other will be soot marks on the exhaust areas and maybe some oil leaks and dust and sand, maybe a couple of spla...

Re: 1/35 Tamiya Challenger 2 Desertized Version

Thanks all! I've got plans to do some chipping, adding some sandy mud splashes and try my hand at dusty weathering. I've been watching some Uncle Night Shift stuff, tho I'll never be up to that level! That dude makes things look wayyyyy to easy. Granted, his builds and weathering work takes days and...

1/35 Tamiya Challenger 2 Desertized Version

I've officially dipped my toes into the world of armor. I picked this kit up at the IPMS Boise show a couple of months ago to see if I would like building something besides flying things. Very nice! I too am interested in seeing how this kit builds up. I've got that same decal sheet.

That turned out great Gary! Really like the way the silver dope turned out. I'm thinking I may do mine in ADC Grey, still not 100% decided yet.

Re: 2021 Boise IPMS - Mad Dog Modelers Fall Show

Congratulations and well done on your awards! They are all well deserved. You always do such incredible work! I have to ask though: you did take the masking off the canopy of the Skyraider right? LOL, yeah, I did. This pic of the Skyraider was taken awhile ago. The front cowling and prop were just ...
