Thanks Lyle,
There are some builders out there that are just on a whole other level.
maybe one day I can get half this good.

Really want to watch this process. I haven't built a ship since I was a kid (though I have a stalled Titanic on the bench). Hope you can walk through the phases of horizontal vs vertical and masking for my benefit
Thanks,
John

Re: 1/350 Dragon USS Spruance
You got it John.
The proper way is to assemble and paint the sub assemblies first as well as paint the hull and deck prior to adding the PE. I just wanted to try something different.
I started adding the deck color.

It's looking great, not that many different colors on a modern ship.
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

Thanks Floki
Picture update. The haze gray is on. I still have to to touch up the haze grey in several places as well as the black then do some minor weathering.
In the mean time I am going to start on the North Carolina.

Looking real good in the grays. What colors are you using for the Haze Gray and Deck Gray?

Thanks Stick.
The desk grey is Vallejo Medium Grey and the Haze Grey is my own concoction of Vallejo colors.
All is painted and now comes the decals, weathering, rigging, make the base and add some life in the form of crew.
