New from Italieri…

Love it but.... molded red sprues?!?! Yuck!! I'd rather have white or grey sprues instead.

Oh the days of years past... I remember kits molded in all sorts of rainbow colors. Who can remember the old Monogram kits especially those Tom Daniels design kits? Yellow, orange, red, blue/dark blue, silver, etc...

Yes I had the Red Baron, that came in Red and Chrome. I have a pair of Reno Racers from Revell Germany. The T-6 is molded in Red and the P-51 in White. I can only imagine if it had Bob Hoover’s markings it would be in Yellow... :wow: Oh yeah, I have a X-1 in Orange plastic... :tease:

I build a lot of old Matchbox kits so multi-coloured sprues are par for the course!

A lot of the older Monogram aircraft kits had two colors of sprues, plus the clear sprues. Silver & Black, Blue & Black, OD & Black.

I built many Matchbox models with the multi-colored sprues as well. I've done white, silver, orange, black, yellow and red molded models as well. Look on the bright side: you won't need to paint these, especially if you're doing them all wheels up!

I definitely agree with you about wanting neutral grey or basic white sprues. I feel that any color is manageable with the latest generation of primers we are using and I hope you go ahead and build this kit, regardless!
