Scale Plastic Aircraft Modeler member interview

Kevin aka pzl66
Arizona, USA

My user name is a blend of the PZL P.11 and the scheme painted on one numbered “66”

1. First model kit?

Hobbycraft 1/48 Bf 109c shark-mouth.

2. Preferred scale?

1/48.

3. Preferred subject or subjects?

Messerschmitt 109, WWII Luftwaffe aircraft, early WWII aircraft, the not so common Japanese Aircraft.

4. Favorite model built to date?

1/48 Eduard Bf 109E-3 (painted it in the Swiss Shark Mouth scheme).

5. Hardest model built to date?

Mirage 1/48 PZL P.11 (those legs are tricky!).

6. Holy Grail kit?

Mirage 1/48 PZL P.11, even though it is tricky to build, it is a beauty when built and detailed. Always try to build it, get scared to do it! Hopefully it gets built soon!

7. Favorite kit maker?

Eduard

8. Favorite glue or glues?

Mr Hobby thin cement, Tamiya Extra thin cement.

9. Favorite paint?

Mr Color and AK Interactive lacquer.

10. What started you as a modeler?

My Dad getting me into aviation and getting me models as a kid. Big influence on WWII subjects due to watching a lot of WWII films and going to different air museums looking at the old war birds.
