What removes chrome

Post by BlackSheep214 »

Got lazy finding a topic but what chemical removes chrome off parts? I've got a few chrome parts I want them removed.

Easy Off?
I can't remember but something call Purple Clean or similar product also works. What is the name of it?

I’ve used household bleach, full strength. It removes all of it.

Cool to watch. Enough bleach to cover the part and sit back. One minute it is there, then poof.

I've used Windex window cleaner myself. Comes off in a blink.

Just don’t mix the two. Ever. Windex contains ammonia, while bleach contains chlorine, combine the two and you create a poison gas.

Oh, never mix those. Ever. Causes a chemical reaction that releases chlorine gas. Not human friendly at all.

Now why would I want to mix those two together? :bored:
