ZM P 51D
I'm getting ready to start a ZM P-51D. I found some Dutch Deals for the approx. 45 P-51's the Dutch received around the end of the war. After Indonesia was no longer under Dutch control the surviving 51's were turned over to them. I have a question-all parked 51's have dropped flaps. Many pictures of 51's also show the elevator down. Is this a characteristic of parked Mustangs?

Re: ZM P 51D
Dropped flaps looks to be common in photos of parked Mustangs. The dropped elevators not so much. I suppose that depends upon the position of the stick when the pilot locks the controls prior to exiting the cockpit. I remember that from sitting in my friend’s T-6 on many occasions years ago.
