Beware the Bouncing Betty's John. My floor is cement and I'm amazed at how far away things get when I thought I dropped them straight down. I keep a drafting brush handy and don't even look anymore until I've swept everything up into a pile.

I didn't do it. But....its a plank laminate floor not real hardwood. Waterproof and has a pad underneath. It's actually quite comfortable

I'm hoping the color helps me find anything that drops

Color helps a little. Get a brush or small broom like John suggested. I also have a light I can shine under the desk.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

You are so right about that, my wife who is very good at finding dropped parts is urging me to get a rubber mat or carpet to stand on.

Just built myself a downdraft spray booth. Used some leftover plexiglass for the top and back

Sweet! I wish I could make something like that. I just have no place to put it.

Beautiful job on that booth!

Ok so I did a little rearranging in the cabinet. Decided to put everything up front until necessary.
