He's just always wanted a model of the Memphis Belle. We're both into WW2 (him more about the ETO and 8th AF and me about the war in the Pacific). When I saw this at Hobby Lobby I decided to build it for him.

That’s cool. Each theater has its own allure and for lack of a better term, legends or myths of history.

Great stuff Mike - I'll keep a look out for that build. I don't live that far from some of the bases used by the Eighth.

Got a pretty good deal on this one on ebay. She will be a fire bomber. I ordered the bellytank from LoneStar models and the decals from Draw

Nice - I've seen that conversion done before and it looks fantastic when done.

See if you can find the True Details resin wheels. The kit has the notorious rubber tires that eat styrene. Or make sure you seal the styrene before mounting the tire. Also don't bother putting weight in the nose. Front gear won't be able to handle it. Use the kit supplied barrel and crate as a prop

Ya, I built this as the Marine bird back in highschool. Notorious tail sitter and I do recall the tires causing issues. Thanks for the heads up

Went to the IPMS Blizzcon show Saturday and picked up these kits while there
I picked up the Tamiya kit first then at the next table I found the Cyber Hobby kit for $9 so went a head and picked it up too. It goes back to the 1988 Trimaster kit I plan on building them together and comparing the two.

I always wanted to build a Mosquito and a Avenger both of these had a good price on them. I've also order a Eduard PE set for and Montex marking mask for the Mosquito. I was looking at the Z-26 the guy told me to make him a offer I told him $20 and he took it!

And finally the Fw-190 D-9 late that has the option for the larger Ta-152 tail
