Ok... and the 90% Isopropyl strips thru all that stuff with no problem? Interesting. I’ve only stripped paint a few times and used Easy Lift Off. I have no idea what’s in that stuff chemical wise.
I asked John about it cause he striped the paint off that one kit. He told me to use the alcohol.

Hmmmm... :hmm: Sounds like strong stuff.... I need to check at the hardware stores to see if they have the gallon cans of hardware type alcohol in stock again....

Good luck. Word is out that you can clean, disinfect and make hand sanitizer with isopropyl alcohol. It is more scarce than frog hair around here. May find some at Walgreens, Target, etc.

Yeah I got mine at the local grocery store. Like Lyle said, you can get it at CVS, Walgreens, any grocery store, Walmart, etc.

I haven’t seen any stuff like that on a store shelf since before all the corona virus madness... :headslap:

If you are lucky...check the places I mentioned. Go early. You might find a bottle or two. Maybe. The last I found was a bottle of 70% at Walgreens. I think Target was the last place I found the 91%. Any store you visit that sell this type of stuff may have some.

The bulk stuff at the hardware store is probably denatured alcohol not sure how that stuff would react on plastic, might be too much.

Funny thing is, I've had it for a while now. Just opened it for this.

Since I use iso alcohol as a thinner for Tamiya and Gunze paints, eventually I started using it to remove paint. I like alcohol because it won't harm the plastic. Sometimes, I get lucky and have been able to remove an acrylic layer and leave a metallic lacquer finish intact. But use enough alcohol and it will bite into the lacquers too. It'll even remove Mr Surfacer putties... ask me how I know that! :headbang:
