1/72 Revell Mig-21 F-13

Post by BorgR3mc0 »

With my ANT-5 build progressing so fast I have decided to start another vacation build. I therefore went to the local toy store and after considering some options (mig-21, mustang or Twin Otter). I choose the MiG-21 because:
- I like the subject, it is a very significant historic aircraft.
- it has good reviews, since the time is limited on vacation it thought I should not buy something very difficult (like the red/white twin otter or the ancient Mustang)

Here is the cockpit before the wash:

And after the a wash:

All in all I like the level the of detail. I think it very good straight out of the box.

I like the look you’ve achieved with that wash. Great stuff!

Excellent subject choice Borg. The F-13 was the roadster version of the 21, my favorite.

Thanks guys!

The build is going quite smooth. All components fit nicely. I have used just a little putty on the fuselage.

All the big construction has been done. I am going to spray it tomorrow. The kit is as easy as all the reviews say. Just what I wanted. I hope I can get the spray to work properly. Just to be on the save side I think I need to spray indoors.
