To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Yes, that is true! ...except the opening is way too large. I’ll come up with something. There is fair detail on the fuselage , etc.Stuart wrote:Lyle - I think the machine gun in the upper turret is just supposed to be glued to the clear part - it's obviously a highly detailed kit

Well, got some primer on this. I did order a new windscreen to match the masks from Italeri...if they have any. I have been working on replacing some wood on the deck and trying to replace a carburetor on the power washer. Ordered one and got it in a few days....wrong one. Another is on the way. Sigh.
Still looking at different schemes....I don't feel up to the mottle pattern. Don't like doing that with a brush.
Here are a couple....the Japanese one on the right (anyone got a good image of the tail marking?) or the Italian one below.

yeah, they do look like Kanji symbols. I can't get a crisp enough scan to use the jpg of the color scheme, so I may just pick one that suits my mood...

I really like the Italian aircraft from WWII and early pre war. Some cool looking birds and oddly enough I like this one as well. Looking good Lyle.
Thanks,
John

I like the Italian one as well. Venezuela used them too. Might look to AM decals when the time comes.

Interesting subject Lyle. Looks like you got the fuselage halves together alright.

I was trying that. This one looks much better! Thank you. I guess the Kanji chapter for “Fluffy Bear” would nor strike fear in the energy, huh?
