Looking good Lyle!!
When I get moved to my new house (when ever that is gonna be) I will need to dig up the Gee Bee balsa kit I have. Hopefully balsa has a good shelf life since I have has the kit for almost 20 years!!!

Something about the Gee Bee I like. I was looking at that one the other day. Twenty years, huh? A petrified Gee Bee! Cool!

Wait, what? Find it, Thomas! What a wonderful project!!Thomas_M wrote:What fun to follow you on this one, Lyle! Mighty fine job on the float tips!
Me, myself I decided to start big, and fail small...
Years ago I snatched a Guillows 1/32 scale B-29 kit. My landlord then in Bavaria made me an extension for my bench, as a 1/32 scale B-29 is somehow large...
Got the fuselage almost done, then lost track of it. I guess this one should be somewhere in my stash in the basement. Oh well...

Lyle, Did you ever build this??
I know it is not balsa but I thought this one might have caught your attention at some point. Kit is from the 1970s; I do not think it is based on the Aurora version.

I have but not that particular kit but the military version. Not sure if I still have it in my collection of completed builds chest from my youth years.

Yeats ago, in the Civil Air Patrol, we could get surplus USAF stuff. I was told a story that we has the opportunity to get a dozen or so of these. All airworthy. We just had to go get them. We passed on it. Dumb.portman wrote:Such a sexy looking light aircraft the 337!
