Airfix 1/72 New Tool Buccaneer

Post by Stuart »

Ahoy there me lads!

To keep the guys in the Jet GB company, and just because I feel like building some Cold War era British heavy metal, I've pulled this kit out of the stash - Airfix's 1/48 Blackburn/H.S. Buccaneer!

Shiver me timbers!

The sharp eyed amongst you will notice there are two kits in the box - that's because I've managed to get my hands on one of the rare kits were IIRC Airfix accidentally put two whole kits in the box, rather than just the additional bits to an RAF bird.

Very careless of them I'd say. :lashed:

I may well build both, one as an RAF aircraft and one as an FAA bird with the wings folded. Both will be OOB - this isn't the easiest of kits by all accounts so I don't want anything making it even more difficult!

Cheers!

Two kits! Talk about lucky. I always liked the look of the Buccaneer.

Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

Yes it's nice to have the option of doing two. I agree - it's a beast of an aircraft!

Oh yes! Two do allow for so many options. :hmm: I can’t wait to see this!
