So that hole is an attachment point! Another mystery solved! That is the great thing about this forum.

I have done all construction, filling and sanding. I am moving in a week so I have packed it up now. But this was the state of affairs as it went into the box. Next post is probably going to be in a month or more once I am settled in my new house.

I unpacked this model and gave it a base coat today. Not a totally black base but I tried something different: light grey upper side and dark grey on the lower side.
