What kind of modeler are you? Home improvement before time at the hobby bench? :tease:

Well I got all the holes dug yesterday, but a storm came through last night. Weather man said it was going to stay south of us. That changed and now it's going to rain perty much nonstop until Wednesday. If it don't stop by then I guess I could use the wood to start building a ark.

It's been a bit since I have worked on this. The deck is done now so I can concentrate on this build again.
Got the fuselage assembled and so far I've only found a few places that needed filler.

I also had opened up the paint I ordered and noticed something very odd. AK Real Colors RLM 83 is blue.

After a google search I found a can of worms that I didn't want to open look it up if your curious. So I will be using Vallejo model air for this color instead.

Thanks for looking in.

Me too Lyle, from the bit I read a few researchers say that the dark green on late war aircraft are a misidentified color and that RLM 83 is know to be a color used on bombers around the Mediterranean. So exactly what is the dark green that was used late war? Like I said that's a can of worms I don't want to open and instead will continue with Vallejo model air 83 that is dark green.

For whatever reason, I have Monogram book on German colors. Neat book wit a lot of info and color patches. For RLM 83 they show a somewhat brighter green that is a slight bit lighter than RLM 82, but bouts are labeled dark green. If you want, I’ll scan that page.

You don't have to go out of your way to do that Lyle. I got a good handle on what RLM 83 should be and Vallejo is a good match. My only problem is that I can't thin Vallejo down as much as I can Tamiya and AK Real Colors.

Not a problem. It is all in a three ring binder! If you change your mind, let me know.
