Fujimi 1/72 Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa / Oscar Done!

Post by BorgR3mc0 »

Build tread can be found here:

The troubles (paint & arial) I encountered in this build where of my own doing. All in all an easy build, fit is good (only point to watch is the lower wing/fuselage connection) , decals are great and according to the experts accuracy is good. Highly recommended kit, great to unwind, deliveres great results with minimal effort.

Nice one Borg. I really like that pilot and pose too.
It's up to you how much money you want to spend and how many new words you want to create "correcting" something.

Thanks, the pilot is part of a larger diorama idea that I have. I also have a Hasegawa starter truck and an Airfix jungle outpost to make an airfield dio. The pilot should be a part of that.

@ BSYamato: the Hayabusa is a nice little bird and should be a part of any WOII Japanese collection, it really was one of the major aircraft in the Japanese opening offensive. I can highly reccomend the Fujimi kit, great kit, especially if you can find it cheap, I paid € 5 for mine!

@ Fermis: Thanks, I am very happy with the NMF, it is always difficult to find the balance between metal shine and the dull weathered look aluminum quickly gets when exposed to the elements.

Nice work Borg. Your NMF is spot on and the pilot is a nice touch. Thanks for sharing.

Can you fly this plane and land it? Surely you can't be serious? I am serious, and don't call me Shirley
