Amodel 1/72 Bisnovat 5-1 and 5-2

Post by BorgR3mc0 »

After a long pause I have finished my Amodel Bisnovat 5-1 and 5-2 research planes. The 5-1 is a glider and has wingtips with skids. The 5-2 is rocket powered and has downturned wingtips. Because of this the stance is very different.
The build was quite easy. Fit was quite good, not many parts but enough for simple planes like this.

Very nice work on this pair!

Any chance of a photo of the two together?

As you can see there a subtle differences in the wings tips, tailplane and tail cone/rocket exhaust.

A pair of Russian dart pins, lol!
A nice completion of two very uncommon aircraft. Well done, Borg!

Thank you. Now I see the differences between the two more distinctly.

To make matter even more difficult during research: there is a Bisnovat 5-1, that crashed. Then there was the 5-2, the first iteration was exactly the same as the 5-1 but with a rocket and thinner tailplane. This was later “debugged” to the 5-2 with the down turned wingtips.

Well done on a pair of seldom seen and built aircraft kits. Bravo!

Brilliant work Borg! We can always count on you to find the most unusual and eclectic aircraft to build. Not to mention turn them into masterpieces! Way to go man!
