@Stik -- I see what you mean! Luckily it was just a bedroll on top of there, to help hold down the tarp. ... Having a tarp trapped over the hatch is OK though, right?

Here's another pic that I forgot to post, shows stowage on the other side:

I would recommend moving that bedroll. Crew hatches are pretty much religiously kept free of anything. There is plenty of room on the engine deck or the turret roof & stowage box top for stuff like that. Crewmen have to be able to pop all hatches to get out immediately in an emergency. Tanks start burning very quickly when hit.

An open tarp would be no big deal. But anything more...

Most impressive work Owl! You have a great way with these small scale vehicles. It's great to see you having something done over the busy Halloween weekend.

Ugh, it's between a crazy couple of weeks at work. Kept me from my bench... How dare they!!

Here, I've applied a wash, followed bit of dry brushing and a tan filter. Trying for a dusty look, but not one that's too battered... :hmm:

Busy busy

I tried my hand at sponge chipping, first with tan to show wear through of the camo, then smaller areas of rust...it looks really neat!

But I worry that in my excitement, I might have gone overboard. Thoughts on the weathering? Would a panzer have lasted this long on the eastern front to warrant getting so dirty??
