What I see of your "shadow technique" adds greatly to the realism, Thomas. Would you explain what type of color is tinting the Future polish, thanks in advance, sir!!!Thomas_M wrote:The Churchill is still on the bench! The last two days I gave the hull a coat of tinted Future to enhance the shadows. This will take another round as the effect is very hard to see so far.

Bruce, I call this the "Roy Sutherland mix", as it was him who once posted this on his blog. It´s rather simple, but effective: take some Future, add a little bit of water. Then add the acrylic colour you like, black or brown for shadows. You could use whatever colour you want to mix it into this Future/water mix!

Thank you so much for the information, Thomas! Apologies for my delayed response; I neglected to subscribe to your amazing thread, which is the kind of "learning curve" I face as a new person to forum etiquette and procedure. I am fixing that now, and will follow along wherever you lead! All the best!Thomas_M wrote:Bruce, I call this the "Roy Sutherland mix", as it was him who once posted this on his blog.
