Slowly but surely.. work continues with painting the wheels, using for the first time AK Real Colors paint.
I must say, works well, very satifisfied!
To "mask" the wheels, I use a circle shablon, which really makes the work easy!
I blackbased these all these parts and I am pretty happy with the sort of "uneven" color layer. Depending how "heavy" the weathering will be, all that might just vanish in the end.. Still some wheels left to be primed and painted
(in the background the Jagdpanther with some thin layers of leftover paint
I also started the work with the Excellent Friulmodel white metal tracks, will post some pics of that task in near future.
Can only say, if I ever build another vehicle with tracks, I will not even "look at" anything else than After Market tracks, preferrably Friulmodel.
Let's see what next!

Genius! The friskette idea is genius and ingenious too.

It's looking great, aftermarket tracks are the best way to go.
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear

Great work on the wheels! The masking idea is brilliant... I guess it really helps when there are so many wheels to paint!

Thanks John, indeed, it really made the task quite enjoyable!jkim wrote:Great work on the wheels! The masking idea is brilliant... I guess it really helps when there are so many wheels to paint!
And meanwhile.... The Jagdpanther starts to get its camouflage...
Slowly but surely, that is the name of the game...
I am very satisfied with AK Real colors, sprays very nicely!
(but not that satisfied with the camo as such)
