Thanks Carlos! I was going to have it in it's the cradle but it's doing a important job of holding the map in place lol. It's hard to tell because the camera whites it out but AFV club included several really nice looking maps on what is like tissue paper. Even some thinned white glue ruined one of the maps. So this one has a small hole in it that allows the receiver to be CA glued directly to the desk. I'm going to try and get some better photos later. I spent the better part of two hours painting the desk and getting some nice wood grain effect but the camera just blended that away.

I turned the spot focus off to get these photos, end up with a darker photo but maybe can see the detail a bit more on the map.
I also got the drivers compartment glued into place. Getting even closer to having this thing all sealed up

Well it’s far more plush than any Commo vehicles that I was in... but then again I was a sergeant and not a Feld Marshall.
My only other piece of advice, all cords should be black... old school non coil wire wrapped in a black insulation. Check out some old movies like Twelve O Clock High or something of a similar era for details.

Thanks Carlos I always thought that German headphone cords was red a quick google search shows they could be black, dark brown, or tan. The red I got from every Dragon figure set I have shows the headphone cord as red, I never have looked it up for myself until now. I will fix that before closing her up. Thanks again for that info.

Yeah, I did an image search after the post. I saw the black, tan, & brown colors there too. I suppose it all depends upon the manufacturer, or materials available as wartime shortages kicked in.

Got the painting done some scratches and paint wear, the gloss coat and the decals on. I went a bit overboard on the paint wear, I've been fighting a cold and probably shouldn't of been on the nyquil when deciding to start on it. But it will be toned down a lot with the weathering to come. All photos I've seen of these show them just covered in dust and sand.

The camo looks great! I guess that the Germans added some colors of their own to the original Caunter colors.
And yes, lots of dust is in order. The desert as a way of doing that very rapidly to any vehicle.
