Soaked in Dawn yesterday for the day, rinsed and dried it out, applied Iso alcohol for good measures. Will spray interior once more then gloss coat on outside soon. Again.... :bored: :bored: :bored:

I feel your pain Tom. I've been known to strip stuff in the upwards of 4-5 times. Hang in there bro.

A little update...

Steering wheel... Now to figure out how to do a tiny Chevy bowtie badge on the gold plate. :hmm:

Remember how I was trying to figure out how to do the two tone colors for the interior? I figured how to do it. Simply paint it Satin White first; let it cure for a couple weeks or so. Took some yellow painter Frog tape and masked off where I want to keep white, carefully cut the area and this is the result. I'm stoked on how it all turned out. :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

Front seats... The front seats was the biggest challenge for me due to the curvatures. Used a simple bladed compass then masked of the straight edges.

Interior.... Back seats done using the same method as front seats

Dry fit with front seats. Yup.... me likey!!!

Next up is to touch up the faint overspray caused from underneath the tape. Shouldn't be too hard to do. After that is done, a coat of satin clearcoat then handbrush the floor using flat clearcoat to cut down the sheen. Then chrome the handles and trims (carefully, very carefully...)

Looking good. A alternative to tape tho more expensive is BMF. A alternative for that on the Door handles is a Molotow chrome pen.

Dang Tom! That base interior paint job looks GREAT! Very impressive.

'Ol Lee is right on with that Molotow Chrome pen. I just got through finishing the door panels and center console trim using one of those and it worked out great.

As for the Chevrolet emblem on the steering wheel...…. :hmm: . You've got me thinkin' there.
