Thanks Lyle. I really like the pose of the latest figure. Another very natural stance. He’d look good by a wheeled vehicle or some sort of checkpoint setting.

Looking good, Carlos. There is a figure set I’ve been wanting to get at Hobby World USA. I would use Vallejo paints for they seems to be useful for figure painting. Not a fan of airbrushing Vallejo paints but figure painting I’d use it for.

Thanks Tom. Vallejo paints are useful for figure painting. When they are mixed properly, they cover well and dry dead flat. The problem is mixing them. I picked up one of those nail polish shaker machines off Amazon for that purpose a year or so ago, and I’m now getting better results from Vallejo paints. Oh and don’t trust some of their paint names. Their US uniform greens do not look anything like any US uniform that I’ve come across, and between service time, time spent working in a surplus store, and my collection, I’ve seen a lot.

Built the last figure today, a machine gunner with the gun resting on his shoulder. (a common pose for any machine gunner in any army)

I also did a bit of needle file work with the last fight to allow him to grip the FAMAS rifle differently

And the two together...

Beautiful work, buddy. The base colors look great: realistically rendered and subtle effects even as base coats! You are one hell of a painter! Excelsior!

Thanks Bruce. But you are far too kind in your words.
