Wow, that's beautiful. The fall tones match perfectly to the bright colored castle.

Lovin' it!

This is why I don't build much any more....Wow, what a spectacular piece of work! Well done, Fermis.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Inspiration or discouragement...is a choice!
I know I wouldn't be where I'm at now without seeing the works of ChukW (as well a a few others), mainly when it comes to detailing/scratch building...I chose to be inspired, with a "challenge accepted" attitude.

Interesting you mention him. He's one of my modeling-gurus, too. I bought his book two years ago. He sent it to me for just ten bucks plus not just a dedication in it, a whole two-page drawing! Did you know he worked for DC Comics? He's a great artist and fellow, very kind and humble.

I got his book as well...also with a one-off drawing, etc. I paid a bit more, but I looked at more as "support" and a "thank you" for the inspiration.

That was my intention, too. I didn't mention the shipping costs, they were insane. So he lowered the price for the book to keep it affordable for me.

More encouragement that discouragement! Ah say, ah say, that was a joke boy, a joke. I really like to watch you guys and ChukW - that man is talented.

Wow, I finally caught up with this and man, I am overwhelmed by the incredible quality! I recognize this castle as the one used in the film "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" What a great flick! I'm envious that you got to see this castle in person. I might even try and get one of these and make it as well now.

Having met Chuck in person, and counting him a very good friend, I can also attest to his humility, kindness and generosity. I count myself very lucky to see him at San Diego's Comicon every year. Before he moved, I used to also see him at many of the local contests here in SoCal, as well as at one or two club meetings in Temecula.

Rock on Fermis, this is magnificent work!

Finally got this one finished up.

I painted a rough interpretation of the murals on the main building (would have been a LOT easier to do before the building was added to the base!), added the spikey/ball thingies to the sharp peaks and did a little pastel weathering.

Absolutely georgeous! :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout:

I'm sure the kit's manufacturer never expected something that neat could be build of it.
