Ma.K Armored Raider Pk.f 85 Falke

Post by MichelC »

I'd posted pics of the Ma.K Falke earlier but that thread is gone. I'm not sure how far into the build I'd gotten. I've made progress since then but I'll backtrack a little, starting with pics of the pit. Without further ado:

Now this is what I call a promising start. Very nice paintwork. The cushion looks so soft and leather style - cool!

Ah yes! I remember this so exemplary masterpiece of a paint job! Still excited about your oeuvre, too bad it went lost with the old place...
Good to see it here again. Drooling over your pictures...

Thank you all for the nice words. I'll be posting more pics soon.

JimD, in case you're not familiar with it, this is one of the creations from the Maschinen Krieger universe created by Japanese artist and modeler Kow Yokoyama. Just Google it and you'll see. But beware, this stuff is highly addictive.

Extremely good looking pit !

Love the weathering on those green gasholders or fire extinguishers.. Nevertheless which one, truly good looking as everything in it!

Wouh!

Thank you Kari and Vance!

The next area that was in need of detailing after the pit was the Yakult bottle, aka engine (Yep, that's what Kow Yokoyama used to make the engine. Must be good for his health too!) As to me, I used wires and solder (good that, very flexible) for the wiring and plumbing as well as Evergreen and scrap box stuff for detailing.

I used MM metalizers for the painting as well as clear acrylics for the burnt metal effect on the exhaust. Post-shading with Gunze Black. Detail painting with Vallejos and acrylic wash and some oil paints for the weathering. That's pretty much it. The busted nozzle petal is coz of a hard landing but more about that later.

Detailing/improving the many gizmos that go to make up the abundant exterior detail of this kit.

Opening up all the air-scoops:

Adding detail from copper wire:

Making air-filters (this is a desert Falcon) from tea bag mesh (the pyramid type):
