WW2 1946 GB Official Thread

Post by scorpiomikey »

This is the official thread for the WW2 1946 GB.
The title is pretty self explanatory, but for those who are unsure, this involves any aircraft that would have fought had WWII continued on past 1945. Think Luft 46, but for everyone.

Start Date: 1st May 2014
End Date: 31st April 2015

Rules.
Kit can be started, but must still be open, we want to see all that pretty internal detail.
Must be 46 WWII related. (This leaves things pretty open)
...thats pretty much it.
Have fun guys.

BADGES (Finally, im sorry lol)

You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I think so, but late marks, with earlier paint schemes. So a P-51H in olive green and neutral grey for example. I imagine if the allies hadnt obtained air superiority, camouflage would have continued on later into the war and varied alot more.
This is an opportunity to have fun with paint and plastic.

Do "Stalkers" count as well? Or in other words: Is Dieselpunk allowed? Dieselpunk is something like Maschinenkrieger stuff. While Steampunk is related to the Victorial age, this is WW2 related.

Heres an example:

Or is that something for the SciFi corner? ;)

Im going to say no to the walker.
While i love dieselpunk (moreso than steampunk) i think it belongs in the sci-fi area more than here.
WW2 1946 is more about what could have been if the war kept going for another couple of years.

Done.
What sort of scheme are you going to do?
