Looks like a good amount of builds there. They all look great.

Welcome to my world Stuart! I like this production line thread; it's always great seeing all your work in one place instead of scattered around. All of this is looking great, I look forward to seeing more.

So I've managed to make a bit of progress on the Ark Royal. :hmm: I have to say I'm not really enjoying this kit - probably not the best introduction to ship building. The flash removal is mind numbing - I could almost mould another kit with the amount I've removed!!! I'm not going to mention the ejector pin marks!

I've added a few bits and a LOT of filler...

For something a bit more enjoyable I've started putting the decals on the Tornado's danglely bits!

Cheers!

Must be an ancient mold on that carrier kit Stuart. I've dealt with re-pops through out the years and it's gotta be a highly coveted subject for me to tackle kits like that anymore. I mean kits like that can be built up nicely but it takes a ton of work.

Yeah I agree - I'm not really feeling it.

Stuart, don’t get too hung up on the Ark Royal. That’s a decent kit as an introductory ship build. And yes, it is an oldie. The molds were originally done in 1966.
Have fun and just go with the flow of the build.

In hindsight I wish I'd bought an original boxing - the quality of the plastic would probably be better. I'll continue to work at it though - it's siting by my bench and I'm picking it up when I feel like it.

The fun bit next will be painting all those little boats!

Hey, send them to me! I'll lose most of them and problem is solved!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
