Thanks Stuart and Blacksheep.
Blacksheep, probably Lyle. TH GB is still waiting for a second coat of white while the Akagi is getting more ladders. I'm waiting for decals for the Apache at the moment.

Well it's been quite a while. I have been working up to 14 hour days to try to save up money for an upcoming bill but here is an update on the Gee Bee. I'll have updates on the Apache and Akagi later.
On and on we go. So I finally got up the courage to mask and paint this thing.

Started with the white.

After several coats I masked and sprayed the red.

I used a black marker to paint the black line between the rec and white then pulled the mask. There does appear to be some areas of touch up where the red bleed through or the mask wasn't exactly streight, but I pretty pleased with the result.

I still need to paint the wheel pants.

Updates on the others to follow next time I have to time.

Steve, that is a home run! Paint work looks really sharp.

Now for the Akagi update.
The handholds and ladder rungs are on and I'm working on the portholes. I'm adding sealed covers to the portholes that are closed and just the porthole PE to the open ones. These pics show most of the portholes with just the sealed covers and awaiting the addition of the porthole PE. I also started on the 25mm AA guns but due to attrition during building, I need to get another set to make 12 guns. there are still some parts needed to install. I am working to get several crew. I ordered a set of 140 crew from HLJ. They have other sets I want to get but are out of stock.
