I finished these a few weeks back. The PR XIX is from Airfix and is a wonderful kit. I built it "in flight" as I've run out of room on the shelves. At least until we move. The other is an Italeri rebox of an older kit. It wasn't too bad overall, still a nice Spit. It is done up as a US used fighter in Europe circa 1944 if I recall.
Both were painted with Vallejo paints with minimal weathering. I also painted up the pilot in the PR, but as it turns out he was 7 feet tall and had to give up his parachute and both feet to be cleared for flight and fit in the pit. Why can't anyone have pilots that actually fit the pits? Anyway, hope you enjoy.

Beautiful! Well done, sir.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Yes Sir, it does indeed feel pretty good to get one completed. Not so much in completing it as I get to open and begin a new one. Not sure why I get such a thrill out of starting one more than completing one, but that's just me.
