Mitsubishi MU-2J

Post by BorgR3mc0 »

I finally started this build. Some pics of the box:

Possible colour schemes: I will build the blue and white version.the tractor was not in the box. That is the risk of buying second hand.

First thing is modifying the engine nacelles. Their should be two intakes instead of one "blob".

Fun! The "Rice Rocket" was a handful, I hear. There was the wreck of one behind the hanger where I used to hang out.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Yes, I have read about that. I think de problem is that it a high performance but relatively cheap aircraft that requiers no extra training. Due to performance and the fact that it uses spoilers instead of ailerons it flies more like a jet aircraft yet anyone with turbo prop rating can fly one. That is the US situation, in Europe the Mu-2 requires a type rating and the accident rate is much lower.

I'll be following - It's a lovely looking aircraft and I'd really like to get my hands on this kit one day.

Now that's awfully cool! Way to go on those seats!
