That is cool! Is that an m113 hull on the back of a 2 1/2 ton?
Thanks,
John

It’s a 5-Ton truck. I think that they removed all of the running gear, motor, transmission, etc. off of the track to lighten it up and basically used the stripped down hull as gun position. Just about the ultimate gun truck.

That would be cool to have for the collection... :hmm:

What are you talking about?? I like that!!! I've always been partial to these trucks as well as the deuce & a half.

Now…..if I could only find a deuce in 1/24 scale..... :hmm:

There was a documentary on these guys ... on Smithsonian channel. Pretty interesting. These guys had some big ones.

I hear ya Carlos. I was in the service for a number of years and realized it was a 5 ton. I'm just saying I'd like to have a 1/24 scale deuce.

I'd love a 5 ton in 1/25. Drove one when I was in the service. I'd settle for 1/32 or 1/35 tho. As cool as a gun truck is I would prefer to build a troop carrier.

AFV Club recently released a 1/35 M54 5 ton... plus there are the older Italeri kits, M923 I think.
