I used clay to support the canopy when it was time to cut it out.

John, that is a great idea! I have been toying with the thought of filling it with mold-making silicone. Clay is probably easier. I’ve also read/seen/heard that aN easy-does-it Sanding on a flat surface will ease the removal.

Hey Lyle, I never use knives to cut vac forms. Try using nail scissors! I keep a pair for cutting thin plastic forms with slot cars.

That makes sense. I have a pair of suture scissors.....about the same size.speedgraflex wrote:Hey Lyle, I never use knives to cut vac forms. Try using nail scissors! I keep a pair for cutting thin plastic forms with slot cars.
Say, by the way, how is the car coming?

Canopy arrived a couple of days ago from Italeri. They sent both clear sprues, not just the canopy. Insurance i guess.
It matches the masks, which is what I was hoping for.
Now, to burnish the canopy and seal it with some Future. Sheesh. ... this only took a couple of hours.
