Ooohh this should be a good watch.
I remember a story of a kingfisher coming fresh out of maintenance, test pilot goes to take off, cant get it off the water. Just sticks itself down. Tries and tries and tries. Uses the full length of the harbour. Everything he can think of.
It took them several days to realise the propeller blades were too short due to constantly filing the pitting on the tips off.
You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Paint is on! I didn’t have FS35045 Dark Blue on hand. So I used the closest color I had FS15042 Dark Sea Blue.

Only one side has decals on. Going to do the opposite side in a few moments...

I gotta admit, the kits decals are a bear to work with. Once they’re on, I have to maneuver with extra water to get them to slide to where I want them. After finishing it off with Micro Set and Micro Sol and left to dry overnight, they went down really nice enough to see it melded with the rivets, panel lines, etc...

Very nice scheme! I'm assuming that you are going to use the 3D printed parts on another Kingfisher build? Or did you use them on this one?

Excellent stuff Tom - I have to admit I didn't know the British flew Kingfishers.

Neither did I. The kit came with RAF decals as well.

I should get this one done before the Christmas holidays. Stay tuned....
