neat. For a few years, I have a bsement "bench" at my "growing up" house. My Dad had build some 2-3 foot wide shelving along one wall. In those later years of mispent youty, I took over a 5 foot or so section. Even made a small spray booth out of a cardboard box, some old Erector set parts for bracing and a small fan motor from an old phonograph. I don't recall what magazines I had read, but that was when I started putting the instruction sheets in a binder and keeping the extra parts. I do wish I had that stuff now!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I used to have a decent sized metal bin filled with spare parts from car kits and another filled with tires. Wished I still kept them to this day.
