Consumer Warning

Post by cbaltrin »

Warning, the following if from a modeler blowing off steam.

Be Warned Folks. Eduard's Canopy Masks for Tamiya's 1/48 109E-4 are Total Rubbish (I would like to use more colorful language , but...)
I Have not found one section that fits even remotely correctly. I mean, you can tell just by looking at the outline while they are still stuck to the sheet that you are in trouble :wow:
You be like, hmm, I always thought that frame/panel was symmetrical... I guess not, what do I know anyway...

Seriously , what a waste of money that was. And of course, my genius ar$e decided to order two sets... :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

And Eduard probably be like: :giggles: :tease:
Big Joe: 'You just keep those Tigers busy and we'll take care of the rest.'
Oddball: 'The only way I got to keep them Tigers busy is to let them shoot holes in me...'

Strange. I've never had a problem with their masks.

Any chance of getting another canopy from Tamiya? Perhaps there is an issue with that. Or can you trace the canopy panels to compare? Send them to Eduard?
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I used Eduard EX130 on my E-4 Trop and they worked okay. Maybe you got a bad set. I have another I accidentally ordered and I'd be happy to send them. PM me your address if you like.
Thanks,
John

Kit is not the issue Lyle. Anyway, I'm over it , just wanted to vent. Should have just made my own mask, but thought I would save some time...

I appreciate the offer John, but I think I'll just make my own masks.
