1/48 Zvezda Bf 109F-2

Post by jeaton01 »

Been working on this one for a while, I am surprised at how good the fit is, especially since there is such thin parts and so many of them. We will see how well the engine lines up and the cowl fits, though the plan is to keep the engine opened up. Model Master 74/75/76 and Hataka Gelb.

Zvezda makes some really nice kits for the past several years. It’s a shame that they are harder to get now because of the war in Ukraine. You’re making this into one very sharp looking build. :shoutout:

Agreed, that's looking very nice indeed John.

It is a shame, as Stik says, generally they make some very nice kits.

Thanks, Guys!

One more update. I got the new decals and found that many things were different according to Mr. Crandall. Different splinter pattern on the wings, no yellow wing tips, and a flat black area on the wing roots. The panel lines on this kit are very fine, such that all the repaint has made them invisible so that will need further attention. Later. Still a happy camper.
