:shoutout: It was 1965 when I was 18, when I flew in one of these from Melbourne to Sydney with TAA (Trans Australian Airline), and it was the year that the Boeing 727 "T" jet was being introduced to our domestic air routes and the DC-9 was being phased out.

But I will always remember looking out the window on that night flight and watching the red hot exhaust pipes winking at me, Oh! Oh! Oh!, more power. :-)

Your beautiful build has bought back some wonderful memories of watching and hearing these aircraft at the old "Eagle Farm" airport in Brisbane when I was just a kid.
