Another Modeling New Years Resolution Done.
Re: Another Modeling New Years Resolution Done.
It was 1965 when I was 18, when I flew in one of these from Melbourne to Sydney with TAA (Trans Australian Airline), and it was the year that the Boeing 727 "T" jet was being introduced to our domestic air routes and the DC-9 was being phased out.
But I will always remember looking out the window on that night flight and watching the red hot exhaust pipes winking at me, Oh! Oh! Oh!, more power. :-)
Your beautiful build has bought back some wonderful memories of watching and hearing these aircraft at the old "Eagle Farm" airport in Brisbane when I was just a kid.
Thanks for that.
Cheers :-)

Roo, your reply humbles me. Thank you very much for such a wonderful story. It's experiences like that which really enhances this hobby of model building. I am thrilled that my model was able to bring back such pleasant memories for you. Thank you ever so much.
Thanks Kari. I'm slowly making progress on the Saturn V.
