Yokosuka MXY7 "Ohka"|Brengun |1/48

Post by tigrazor »

Small side project is finally finished - Brenguns "Ohka". The kit itselfg is quite cheap to have, so it has some issues, mainly reworks on the body are neccessary etc. After all, a great fun build for in between.

Very nice, very real! The position of the man is also, very special, different, real.

The beautiful background with the lightning gives really looks good in the picture!

Nice work—what Kari wrote re the figure applies; you create a narrative from your well chosen elements. In addition, the photography is very interesting! Is that a mirror underneath?

That is a sharp looking vignette!

Many thanks guys.

The underground is my car. Im taking the shots outside in most cases for several reasons - daylight, interesting background and/or beautiful sky. We have pretty bad weather these days, its cloudy in most cases. The morning the shot was done sun came out a bit - the mixture of clouds and sun makes it even a bit mor interesting Id say, looks a bit like a tropical storm is coming up.

;)

Bruce, this is an original picture which i wanted to recreate in my way:

Lucas—the roof of your car... what a great idea. The glossy reflection of light on the surface is incredible. I was thinking about a glass surface like that of a surfboard for a base, but your set up is superior. Lovely work.

It came by chance so to say. I used to take a small chair for outside pictures and placed the model upon there. Of course you literally have to bend your knee like Jon Snow. :D

The roof of the car has - like you mentioned - a glossy surface and is of course a bit higher, makes it more simple. Two advantages.

You're a California guy, Bruce. You just can't help it.

That is some tight work you're showing here, Lucas. I'm a sucker for that kind of atmospheric vignettes. And the Saxon sky can look tropical indeed. Who'd guessed that?

Agree with Bruce, what a brilliant idea to use the car as the fundament (I guess the roof) !

Of course, you might need to be a little bit "lucky" with the colour of your car...

Of well... there is always the option to use someone else car roof.. parking places full of suitable color "opportunities".... :-)
