Edit: I am rebuilding this gallery tread after the Great Photobucket Scam of 2017.
Deep in the confines of the Borg Cube is my collection of finished models. Most are 1/72 aircraft.
Some are over 25 years old, some are recent, but I will post them in random order.
Hasegawa 1/72 Shinden: my first Hasegawa kit, easy build, as always, cockpit is a bit spartan, painted with Tamiya acrylics
Waku 1/72 Aero C.11/Yak-11: Vacuform kit, very basic, interior and gear a scratchbuild, propellor and engine cowling are modfied from a KP La-5. painted with Tamiya acrylics
Heller Polikarpov I-153 (SMER Hitech rebox: with PE and resin parts, Propagteam decals (thin but fragile) kit was modified to increase accurasy: engines cowling, fattened fuselage, removed imanigary ribbing between the wings, reshaped tailplanes etc. painted with Humbrol enamel.
Special Hobby 3e seat Me-262, Luft 46, early short run with PE, fit was suprisingly good, painted with Tamiya.
VEB Plasticard Suchoi Su-7, old build, rockets where replaced with those from Revell Su-25, canopy modified, pilot added. Firt attempt at weathering, brush painted with Humbrol enamel.

Re: The Hive
Here are some more:
Hasegawa 1/72 Grumman X-29: build SOB, not much to say about it, easy kit.
The Revell/zvesda Suchoi S-37 Berkut: added resin K-36 ejection seat, shortened landing gear and added chimes to the nose.
A comparison shot of are are basically planes with the same research mission. The difference is size is huge.
Yakovlev Yak-6 of an unkown manufacturer, brush painted, no seam work done, old model, build years ago. The arial is string....and the machine gun is from a Italeri Ju-52.
Lastly: Heller 1/72 Morane ms.203, brush painted but rigged with streched sprue.

Re: The Hive
Pretty cool collection. The Russians seem to have a mantra of "anything you can do I can do bigger!".
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Re: The Hive
Interesting finds in the Borg cube! Liked to build the Grumman X-29 back then.
Nice selection of goodies!

I really like that Su-7!
It's up to you how much money you want to spend and how many new words you want to create "correcting" something.
