Yeah, it's a little bit more than I wanted. Once it's dry I cut it down some, it's fixable. I have been in those seas in the Bearing Sea on a 190 ft cutter though. No fun a all. The captain had us in rack unless you were on dury to cut down on injures

I can't get over the water effects. I know you say you've got some corrections to do and all but watching this all come together is really enjoyable. :shoutout:

I smoothed out the waves some, it's still some pretty heavy seas but more realistic. Next is painting the water.

Boy she is biting into that wave... :hmm:

Quite a few years back I built (modded) a 1/350 Dragon Spruance kit for a Gulf War Vet. The ship Deyo I copied for him was made into a artificial reef some years after and the same Vet also helped with her decommission. (I think he made off with her bell ) Great kit! Your making this look wonderful!

Thanks Handiabled, It's a nice kit, especially for it's age, the detail set really helps as well. Once I finish painting the Perry I'm working on and complete forming it's water base, I'll start on painting the water and adding the wake for both at the same time. The Perry is close.

Having just about finished the 109 mangle, I am more impressed than before. Wow...
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks Lyle, there certainly is a difference between ships and other subjects.

And back to the Sprue Can.
I painted, brush and spray, the first coat of blue. This will be followed by a second coat. The over spray on the hull can be easily fixed but a little grey touch up, add to the tonal variation effect anyway.
