Thanks Gents - Yes I'm happily tidying up he bits that need to be done. I've seen a few of these old Tamiya kits built with all the switch holes etc. left in place - I couldn't live with that.

I managed to get it sanded down this morning before I took my son into school, and then hit it with a coat of primer - I'll see if I need more filler when I get home from work.

Great Story Bruce - That sounds like it'd be Doyle!

Soon you will learn the upside of armor builds... mud to hide defects...

But if you’re doing a DAK build, only a few times and locations got muddy... Europe on the other hand...

This is true Stik. I need to look into some colour references of Tanks in the desert. I've got a lot to learn about weathering (one reason I wanted to get into armor) but I had in mind that I should look into recreating faded paint and dust/sand.

Having just drilled out the barrels on the Canon and the MG - I'm just wondering on paint. What do you think this is? :hmm: I was thinking black base and then gun metal, with maybe a lighter silver drybrush... Or maybe black, gun metal and then brushed with graphite powder?

I HATED this process on mine. Oh my God.

Never.

Again.

That said- much as I didn’t like that part, this family of kits is still a whole lot of fun to build! And you’re doing the great, off to a solid start.
