Duke Maddog wrote:That is magnificent Carlos! especially given the time taken, you rocked this. I wish I could have joined this but it started and went too late for me. Besides, despite my many kits; I didn't have anything in hand that I could do in four hours.
Thanks Mark. Jake and Jim Spelmire built some 1/72 kits that both came out really good. But yes, kit choice is critical...

Thank you Mike. There’s noting like a challenge to get the wheels turning in your head as to a better approach for next year. :hmm:

Actually there are five... front and rear license numbers, front and rear unit insignia, and driver’s door shipping stencil... :giggles: But the Solvaset kinda zapped the front license....

These guys that came with the kit were not part of the Online 4 Hour Build challenge, but they are part of the follow up.... they are beautifully molded and the poses are so natural once assembled...

Wow then are some very nice looking figures and in 1/48. I'm gonna have to find this kit
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

I highly recommend this kit. Tamiya also does another version with the standard tires and the driver & pilot figures in Continental Europe uniforms. I want to build one of those too.

Thank you Stuart. It did turn out cracking, if I do say so myself.

So, Saturday I took two more hours total to wrap this up... oil wash, then pigments....

I took the above shots yesterday, then today posed it on my little desert base

That made all the difference Carlos! Excellent job weathering it. Now just need to add the figures.

Thanks Clint. Yes, now for the figures... always my challenge... doubly so in this smaller scale...
