Pretty impressive stuff, isn't it? I went ahead and did the other side consoles this evening following the same procedure. You can see in the 2nd photo the sheen that I wanted to dial back.
After misting a semi-flat clear coat, the panels look a little better. Some of the red details were touched up with a fine paintbrush. I think I was mistaken about the faded red on that first part... I think they are supposed to be yellow or orange.
Here are the completed panels mounted in the unpainted cockpit tub...
I'll be working on the more complicated instrument panel and radar display panel next.

Wow! I'm with Carlos I've never seen a more accurate panel in PE or decal.

I am with Carlos, this has got to be a real game changer. A cockpit that actually looks like it should and especially in this scale. These would be a great change for older eyes.

Well you really stepped it up about ten notches with this set! Most incredible realism!

Where did you get the Quinta 3D decals from? Linden Hill Imports?

I'll try to get some better close-up shots of each panel just so you can better make out the 3D element of these pieces. The detail is pretty incredible given how small these parts really are.
I bought this set from Sprue Brothers and they offer a good selection of the Quinta Studio line. FYI... they are not the only players in this market. Red Fox Studios offers some similar sets in 1/32 scale...
And Eduard has just introduced its Space line of 3D decals.

Eduard has also introduced a similar line of items in their new “Space” line.

Re: 1/48 Tamiya F-14A Jolly Rogers
Thank you. I know they have some in both 1/72 and 1/48 scales. I've got a couple Vipers and a Hornet in 1/48 scale I want to get for. I know they're a bit pricey but man... they do look good!

Those look great. I picked up a couple sets a few weeks back. I found them on Etsy.com as well.
Thanks,
