Looks great Stuart. Those engines look like a perfect fit. How did you get those monster pour stubs off?

With my Tamiya saw John. The engines are actually hollow, so they came off the blocks pretty easily - you shouldn't have any issues with yours.

Great job so far Stuart, I've wanted this kit either as the AC 130 or convert to an AC 130, love canons on a plane

They do do a AC-130 version, and I'd love to do one, and an AC-47 to go with it. This one though will be early RAF one in 1970s desert camo.

Very cool! You're allowed to change your mind at any time. It's your model.

Desert Pink! Nice!
Although I do love the WWII carryover Mid Stone & Dark Earth scheme too…

That's good Mike, because I've changed it again...
Part of the problem is that I'm building this as part of a GB that I suggested a year ago and has only just started, but because I suggested it, I'm obligated to lead it. A year ago, I really fancied building a C-130 and was really into GBs, now.. Not so much on either.
I spent most of last year in one form of GB or another and am definitely burnt out with them - I started a few kits recently for GBs that I ended up binning as I couldn't work up the enthusiasm to finish them, because I'd rather have been working on something else - which is the same now, I have about five projects (All Spitfires strangely) I'd rather be working on, that's why I'm having trouble sticking to a scheme. tbh I just wish I'd built the damn thing a year ago when I felt like it.
First World problems...
Having painted most of the wings pink, I'm not too keen on the colour, so I'm have a rethink - I need to fit the IFR probe anyway, as I'd forgotten to do that.
Cheers!
