I built this one with a few changes. I swapped out some roadwheels with ones from spares bin based off of photos I found of one. I added a few grab handles, and swapped out the empty external fuel drum mounts, again from my spares bin and based off of the same photos. And I replaced the kit tow cable centers using 550 cord guts. I cut off the ends, drilled holes in them and superglued lengths of the nylon cord cut to the proper length. I also cut away the molded in engine deck grill, replaced it with some mesh, and scratched up some of the armored louvres for underneath the screen.

This Tamiya kit builds into a nice replica of a T-34. But it is seldom seen build up due to being overshadowed by more complex, costly and modern Dragon kits.

Yes it does. It is a great kit for the novice armor modeler to build their skills upon. It is also a great kit to practice working with various upgrades- aftermarket or scratch built. It has held it's age well.

paint looks very nice. well scruffy but you know.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
