Just kidding, Ben!

As posted elsewhere, this is the kit´s box. It´s a re-box from an ICM kit by Revell. Revell did new decals and their new style assembly manual here.

This is the after market stuff I intend to use here:

The first WIP picture! Applause!!! :dancing:

Did start this one with the replacement propellers from Quickboost:

As you see there is a setting jig given. First it has to be drilled, the the drilled jig serves to centre the spinner when drilled, too. I measured the kit´s propeller shaft; it was close to 2mm. So I drilled the spinner with a 2mm drill, then turned the drill by 180°.

This way the drill gives the spinner some hold and the individual propeller blades can be attached one by one using the jig for alignment and pitch. So far one propeller is done. I am not sure if I will glue them to the kit later for they will turn very easy blowing them.

Off to a great start! What scheme (s) are you considering?

Thomas' back in quarterscale - yay!
She has some very classic, or should I say timeless, lines.

Well, I never left quarter scale. It still is among the many, many scales I do build kits in... :headslap:

Quickboost propeller assembly:

The 2mm drill bit gives the propeller boss a firm hold. I applied some super glue into the opening for the propeller blade, inserted the blade and twisted the assembly to fit the gauge. Took a few minutes to dry. Both propellers are now done:

Yesterday I gave the kit´s clear parts a bath in Future. I must say that those clear parts really are sparkling as they come of the box. Well done, ICM!
I noticed that my Future has gone rather thick, so I cleaned the clear parts using tap water before they had dried. I added some tap water to the Future and tried again. Much better now!

The Futured clear parts had dried over night. This evening I started to apply them to the fuselage:

I simply put the clear parts in place in the fuselage. Using a 3/0 brush I carefully applied some Tamyia Extra Thin Cement to the outline between the clear part and fuselage. So far all looks fine and fit is good.
